Water Conservation
Conservation is happening in many, many forms at ConsciousWineries including: the use of drip systems, dry farming and recycling waste water.
Wineries and vineyards must use water; for irrigation, to clean their barrels, tanks and floors. It’s how they conserve and recycle water that makes them unique.
I heard about a 250 mile pipeline being built to bring water from a lake to a large city that can’t support its present needs.
On a long drive home, I stopped at a highway rest stop, where the sink had a button to press (like a soap dispenser), and released little bits of water while you kept your hand on it.
