ConsciousWine was founded in March, 2008, to produce a guide of wineries following sustainable practices that were also making awesome wine.

The original ideas for ConsciousWine came from two frustrations – wines from all over the world tasting more and more the same and organic wine not yielding consistently excellent quality.

In October 2009, friend and fellow wine lover, Vinny Liscio partnered up with me to bring ConsciousWine to you through cyberspace, and in person whenever possible.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to visit hundreds of wineries, supported by my 30 years in the fine wine business. My passion lives strong in the uniqueness wine offers: how it can transform in the presence of food, the amazing places they come from, and the dedicated people that infuse their places and products with this labor of love that is so contagious.

Today, we’re here to share all this with you.

When you purchase wine through The Shop there are major benefits that are not the obvious ones. First is that the wine is shipped direct to you from the winery for only $3 per bottle. Therefore, the shipping footprint is less than when you purchase wine through a local or on-line retailer. Second is that the winery ends up with a much higher percentage of what you pay for a bottle of wine.
