Without a peep on their label, Frog’s Leap has farmed organically for years, not to mention being CCOF Certifed for “Made with Organically Grown Grapes.” Their “hiding” this (along with a handful of others), was a clue something was astray with organic wine labels equaling consistent quality in wine. A little digging at Frog’s Leap and we were more impressed. They dry farm where their neighbors do not. They offer fresh produce for free to visitors from their organic garden. Their main building is LEED Certified. The winery was reconstructed to keep its amazing soul and story alive and intact. “Good Worker Policy,” is in our 12 Practices as a result of Frog’s Leap’s employee commitment and practices. You might want to buy their wine for that reason alone.
