The Momtazis are rockin’ it. A family business to the core with Moe, Flora, Tahmiene (winemaker), Naseem and Hanna Momtazi all passionately engaged. They are a living commitment to Biodynamic Farming and a holistic approach. The last three ounces of two of their wines, Pinot Blanc and Rose, was lingering in the bottom of bottles, first opened a week before. Convinced their days of offering pleasure were gone, they were on the way to the drain when my palate intervened. The discovery: delish wine was still present and to be enjoyed. A strong immune system on the farm often creates vital, living products and with Maysara and Three Degrees (the three Momtazi sisters’ label: Tahmiene, Naseem and Hanna), it does.
