2011 Lumos Pinot Gris, Rudolfo

Lumos 6bottle/$69 minimum

From the Winery:

We were going to write our own tasting notes but kinda like what the Oregon Wine Press had to say..."The term 'elegant' isn't typically seen in connection with Pinot Gris but this example delivers a polished package combining floral aromas, fleshy fruit, a creamy soft palate and tart zestiness. All in all, a very classy experience."~The Oregon Wine Press, April 2012

2006 Dominio IV Tempranillo Sketches of Spain

Dominio IV 6bottle/$120 minimum

Jeff's Notes: I love this wine. Brawny, strong willed, not so easy to open up, but give it time... decant it for sure... it will unfold for days. I had a bottle at home, and it opened into deliciousness over 4 days. I know that sounds crazy but try it! Lamb chops would be a great pairing. Released each March.

Thai and Chinese dishes, with some nice spice, would make great partners. Released each Spring.

Jeff's Notes: Dynamic fruit comes forth on the nose accented with hints of fennel and anise. The palate is a mouth filling, mouthwatering, rustic, moody, broody experience with layers that will unveil as the wine airs out. The wine’s tannins make this a Pinot Noir that can handle filet mignon or buffalo. Sautéed wild mushrooms on top will kick up the pairing and bring out the fruitiness hidden underneath. Port Finest Reserve Casal dos Jordoes

2009 AmByth Estate Adamo

Ambyth Estate 6bottle/$69 minimum

Jeff's Notes:

Adamo means to fall in love with or find pleasure with. So is the reality on first sniff of the aroma of this wine. Plan to be seduced! Floral, cherry overtones comes forth thanks to being picked at a lower sugar level than often the case with Grenache based wines. The blend here starts with 59% Grenache. Beautiful bright acidity carries this wine through. A pork dish with a cream element could make Adamo even more hypnotic...
Our price: $45.00

2009 AmByth Estate Maiestas

Ambyth Estate 6bottle/$69 minimum

From the Winery:

Maiestas (latin: majesty, dignity), You're greeted with the classical deep, dark color of Syrah in your glass. The aroma mirrors the appearance: deep and dark and wonderfully fruity, we find a beautiful expression of lavender aromas. This Syrah based wine has its own sweet fruit, but different from the cherry-like fruit of Grenache, it is more of the rich earthy, brooding fruit that has depth and great dimension with an incredible lingering after taste. The acidity is admirable, and the flavors are delightful.

ONLY 49 CASES PRODUCED

Our price: $45.00

2009 AmByth Estate ReVera

Ambyth Estate 6bottle/$69 minimum

From the Winery:

ReVera (latin: in truth). This wine is aptly named, we feel Mourvedre has the expression of the earth--of walking through the vineyards and inhaling the scents of provincial herbs wafting on the winds. The nose is pretty straight-forward “animale”, gamy and intriguing when encountered for the first time. But it quickly transforms itself into an intensely rich, meaty wine packed with dark fruit flavors with seriously strong tannins.
Our price: $45.00

2009 AmByth Estate Sangiovese

Ambyth Estate 6bottle/$69 minimum

From the Winery:

At first glance our Sangiovese is packed with high acidity, but as it is exposed to air it becomes beautifully fragrant. The aromas are of fresh fruits, strawberries and raspberries with just a hint of tar on the back. It is typical Sangiovese, with a light body characteristic and natural high acidity, it is firm, with a tight grip, yet elegant. The firmness gives way and is relaxed with decanting. We particularly love this wine, especially when opened in advance and served with roasts and olive oil.
Our price: $45.00

2000 Michel-Schlumberger Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Michel-Schlumberger 6bottle/$69 minimum

Our 2000 Reserve is a good example of classic expression of Cabernet. Our winery’s Benchland Vineyard expresses fruit in a very individual manner with complementing spicy aromatics and pleasant earthy flavors. Its aromas focus on the classic ripe blackberry and cherry but the beauty of the underlying aromatic notes are almost distracting. Suggestions of bay, allspice and cedar can appear at any sip.

San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, Gold Medal Winner

Complexity with a little edge. An excellent choice to pair with a roast or a rib eye.

Jeff's Notes: Patience young Skywalker! A treat is in store. Opening a bottle fresh and expecting the first sip to be great… that can happen, but if you’re patient, the wine will develop layers, lengthen in it’s lingering, expand in its juiciness, and be great with grilled sausages (especially gamier ones). Having it open for 1, 2, 3 and even 4 days will create magic! Or,… age it a year before opening the wine. Released each October.
