2008 Dominio IV Syrah Tempranillo Blend Spellbound

Jeff's Notes: 60% Syrah and 40% Tempranillo from their estate Biodynamic® vineyard in Mosier, Oregon. The spicy element of syrah comes through (pepper, paprika). This is a big robust wine with a fairly silky texture and bright acidity thanks to the Tempranillo. It can handle foods with a lot of weight. Spare ribs, BBQ, meats with a blackberry or cherry reduction. Released each September.

2009 Dominio IV Tempranillo Syrah Blend Technicolor Bat
Dominio IV 6bottle/$120 minimum
Jeff's Notes: A blend of 86% Tempranillo and 13% Syrah from their Biodynamic® farm, Three Sleeps Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge. The wines personality reminds me of mountain berries, dark fruits, hints of brown sugar, maple syrup, with bright acidity, and a long rich finish. A mouthful! This is tri-tip wine. Get the BBQ going!!! Released each December.

2011 Dominio IV Viognier Still Life

Jeff's Notes: White peaches, apricots, sweet floral, honeysuckle. Round and pleasing in its initial taste, with nice crisp acidity in the finish. Goes well with soft cheeses and seafood. Very satisfying, super pleasing wine. Released each June.

Jeff's Notes: I love this wine. Brawny, strong willed, not so easy to open up, but give it time... decant it for sure... it will unfold for days. I had a bottle at home, and it opened into deliciousness over 4 days. I know that sounds crazy but try it! Lamb chops would be a great pairing. Released each March.

The natural acidity is deeply integrated with the velvety mouth feel of the wine and intense primary fruits of currents, raspberry, and strawberry.
