Discovering Conscious Wineries

…is a process.

First, we ask if they farm organically. Certification for Organically Grown Grapes is a practice of many ConsciousWineries, but actual certification is not a requirement.

Second, we look at the farm’s immune system. Is the farm a self sustaining, self regulating organism with a closed nutrient system?

Biodiversity, regenerative farming practices (including Biodynamic® farming practices are a great version of this) and animals on the farm are some of the things we look for in particular.

Third, we consider the vitality of the products. As we taste, we discover if a healthy immune system from the soil and farm have been translated into their finished products.

An opened bottle of wine unfolding in its flavor and personality over multiple days is a sign we look for in believing that the farm’s vitality is alive and well in the wines created.

Fourth, quality finished products are required, meaning there is a standard of consistency and excellence achieved.
